Summary of Position
This position will report to the Corporate Security Compliance Manager and provide administrative support to the compliance and investigative teams, including the Corporate Security Investigations Managers. Duties including arranging travel, timekeeping for the work group, updates to employee data following promotions/titles, meeting planning, expense statements, telephone messaging, correspondence, project tracking, filing, ordering supplies, mail distribution and processing and assistance on special projects. This position will also serve as backup to the lead administrative assistant.
- High School Diploma required.College degree preferred.
3-5 years administrative assistant experience
Experience supporting multiple managers and staff
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access plus the ability to quickly learn other Southern Company internal programs.
Previous experience keeping employee time and updating/managing databases.
General knowledge of utility operations, Southern Company and Georgia Power organization a plus.
Speed, accuracy, proficiency, initiative and consistency are essential to success.
Excellent organizational skills and professional oral and written communication skills required.
Ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities and deadlines.
Good judgment and ability to solve problems and work with minimal direction or in absence of direct supervision when required.
Ability to professionally handle confidential information.
Excellent interpersonal skills and must be a team player.
Strong work ethic.
Self-directed with strong follow-up skills.
Energetic, enthusiastic and must exhibit initiative and strong teamwork qualities.
