Job Description
This position is responsible for supporting the company’s primary supply chain applications, IBM Maximo v7.5 and IBM Emptoris v9.5. Responsibility for supporting secondary applications in the supply chain portfolio including AFS Warehouse Management System (WMS), Interpro EZMaxMobile, SCOTT (custom front-end for AdTrav’s RezDesk), and other in-house applications is on an as needed basis. This position resides in the Maximo Center of Excellence (COE) which reports up through the Technology Organization (TO).
Support responsibilities for this position are comprised of the following:
Providing customer facing front-line production support for incidents including “how to” requests, system/integration errors, data management/repair requests, and enhancement requests.
Triage and prioritization of incidents based on business impact
Resolution or dispatch of incidents based on incident type/prioritization and resource availability
Escalation of enhancement requests to management and business process teams for review
Identification and escalation of trending end user support issues for public communication and management review
Categorization and escalation of repetitive/recurring incidents for root cause analysis and remediation
Collaborating with external software vendors and internal support resources (e.g. – TO Service Desk, TO COEs, TO Infrastructure, Database Services, etc.)
Developing and maintaining documentation pertaining to common support responsibilities and tasks
Staying abreast of emerging needs in our customer’s business and pertinent developments in supported applications.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- B.S. or M.S. in a technical field (Computer Science/MIS or Engineering) or equivalent work experience is required
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
2 years of experience with the IBM Maximo 7.5 application or higher is required
2 years of experience and familiarity supporting supply chain systems is required
2 years of experience providing end-user support to multiple user groups is required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools is required
2 years of experience with the software development life cycle is desired
Knowledge and understanding of supply chain business processes and procedures is desired
Experience with SQL / PL-SQL is desired
Experience with BMC Remedy, HP ALM, and HP PPM is desired
Maximo 7.x Certification is desired
