Document Coordinator - Land Acquisition
This position’s primary responsibility is conducting quality assessment/control for easements and other legal documents related to the acquisition of land and property rights and submitting these legal documents to county courthouses throughout Georgia for recording as encumbrances on property titles. Other additional responsibilities are identified below.
High School diploma required.

Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple assignments
Ability to learn new software and computer applications applicable to the job
Knowledge of geography of the state of Georgia and its public land system
Awareness of the electric network components - generation, transmission, and distribution
Exposure to records management and filing systems
Ensure quality control for easements and other legal documents from purchases of land rights (meeting Federal and/or State real property requirements), send to county clerks for recording and enter final document into GPC permanent records as evidence of the newly-acquired asset.
Arrange payments for easements and recording fees.
Prepare and distribute construction releases for capital acquisition projects (distribution lines, transmission lines, substations, renewable projects and plant sites / buffer properties).
Order and process titles and appraisals for property rights being acquired.
Provide all necessary information for fee simple land purchases to Property Accounting.
Provide transaction data on a bi-weekly basis to Marketing Research for property owner satisfaction surveys.
Compile feedback for Land Acquisition management related to document accuracy.
