Job Summary

This position is responsible for implementing and managing a portfolio of Georgia Power Company products and services in the company’s online sales efforts. This person is primarily accountable for the development and execution of the company’s eCommerce product offerings. This position is also responsible for implementing the goal setting process and marketing of existing and new products and services to our customers, while leading efforts in the research and analysis of these programs to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and grow profitable sales. This position will serve as the leader of an ecosystem of product delivery resources across multiple functions collaborating with Product Marketing peers, Senior Management, Subject Matter Experts, merchants and consumers in translating market needs into product innovation and maintenance. Additionally, you will lead ongoing meetings to report on results and align key stakeholders to the future roadmap for the product line. This position will engage, lead and motivate a cross-functional team in planning, developing growth channels, and promoting products.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Four-year degree desired. Marketing, Communications, Economics, Business preferred

  • Must be organized and systematic, demonstrated ability to hit deadlines in a highly collaborative fashion; Thrive in a highly collaborative, creative, analytical, and dynamic environments.

  • 3-5 years of marketing experience through program or product management desirable, including product development, implementation, and lifecycle management; preferably in a B2C environment

  • Strong entrepreneurial skills with the ability to think outside the box

  • Strong analytical skills; able to analyze spreadsheets and simplify communications for widespread messages

  • Understanding of pricing, packaging and product bundling strategies

  • Understanding of financial techniques for evaluating net income, present value, cash flows and return on investment

  • Effective at understanding cross-functional dependencies and building and leveraging internal and cross-functional relationships and expertise to achieve goals

  • Work well under pressure and successfully operate in a competitive environment with specific profit and loss expectations

  • Must be able to quickly grasp information on our business including knowledge of our customer base, customer service operations, corporate functions, financial indicators, and marketing regulatory issues

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Able to effectively manage vendor partnerships for execution of marketing campaigns

Job Responsibilities

Product Planning and Product Management

  • Take ownership of the product portfolio and accountability for its success and growth

  • Responsible for goal setting and channel allocation, monitoring key performance indicators, and achieving all product performance goals

  • Solicit ideas, assess data, interpret customer research and make product-oriented recommendations to ensure our vision and plan exceeds customer expectations on market competitiveness and innovation – ultimately driving customer loyalty

Project team leadership and internal coordination

  • Organize and lead cross-functional teams to administer and successfully implement online products.

  • Work with appropriate segment manager, market intelligence and appropriate product development managers to share customer intelligence, meaningful industry insights (goals, mandates, leadership or policy changes, etc.), and potential bundling opportunities to assist with creating and implementing the company’s strategic plan in eCommerce

Multi-channel and mass marketing

  • Effective use of sales methodologies such as digital marketing, direct mail, cross-sell/upsell and partnering with internal and external sales channels to reach targeted customers

  • Leverage market intelligence and technology to innovatively offer products to customers

Product development, implementation and lifecycle management

  • Manage the development and implementation of new products / services related directly to the assigned product line, including bundling and / or product extensions, if applicable

  • Manage product life cycle to include conceptualization, development and execution of marketing campaigns, back-office administration, vendor management, customer service and reporting

  • Facilitate product training and internal communications to ensure all partners remain abreast of product offerings

  • Effectively develop and manage the product’s roadmap, including all product enhancements and modifications required to meet performance objectives over the lifecycle of the product
