Manager, Workforce Planning & Analytics

Atlanta, GA

Position Summary:

The Manager Workforce Planning and Analytics will play a pivotal role shaping and executing the workforce analytics strategy to deliver robust capabilities that assist in driving key people and business decisions. The leader will provide expertise and leadership on HR’s vision to deliver workforce analytics, insights, and workforce planning capabilities ensuring alignment with broader business and financial objectives. The role will lead efforts to conduct advanced statistical analyses, including predictive modeling, in order to generate proactive insights for business leaders. The position will ensure continuous improvements and advancements in HR’s ability to leverage data including resources to assist in driving conversations with business leaders. The individual is responsible for establishing strong relationships within leadership to drive understanding and awareness of business challenges/opportunities and establish an analytics roadmap that aligns with the HR and enterprise.

This is a hybrid position.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree with focus in data analytics, data science, mathematics, computer science or statistics (required)

  • Master’s degree (preferred)

Experience

  • 3+ years of management experience in a large complex organization including influencing leadership and/or critical stakeholders (preferred).

  • Minimum 3 years of background in or supporting Human Resources (preferred)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resource functions.

  • Experience working with business intelligence solutions, delivering metrics dashboards that provide insight into business challenges

  • Experience with tools to query, analyze, manipulate, and visualize datasets (e.g. SQL, Python, R, SAS, SPSS, Tableau, PowerBI, Oracle Analytics Cloud).

  • Demonstrated experience as a Workforce Intelligence thought leader. Will be able to demonstrate being sought after for advice, counsel and judgment.

  • Experience networking with external resources to share best practice, identify potential future talent, benchmark solutions and support staff

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team of analysts and/or developers to deliver business intelligence solutions (preferred).

  • Experience leading data governance and security to appropriately reduce data exposure risk

  • Excellent leadership and partnering skills required

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, ability to link workforce analytics to business objectives

  • Ability to identify opportunities and deliver results thru advanced analytics

  • Proven to have a deep understanding of machine learning principles and familiar with supporting technologies and tools.

  • Possess the ability to draw insights using data and make meaningful business recommendations.

  • Ability to understand the fundamental drivers of the business at an operational level, anticipating change and seeing opportunities to provide increased support to business needs through workforce information.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussion/presentation.

  • Excellent project management leadership skills including ability to coordinate and balance multiple tasks effectively setting expectations and meeting deadlines

  • Demonstrated success in hiring, retaining, coaching and developing staff, creating a culture for real time feedback

  • Demonstrated excellent relationship management skills with internal partners; proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches to human resource challenges

  • Drives performance targets to completion

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to translate advanced techniques into common concepts

  • Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to bring people together to eliminate barriers and reach solutions

  • Ability to establish relationships and influence decisions

  • Understanding of methodologies in applied statistics and research, predictive HR analytics, and forecasting.

  • Action-oriented self-starter; driven, confident, collaborative, and seeks to deliver solutions

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities

  • Ability to work in a team environment with diverse disciplines and backgrounds

  • Support workforce planning initiatives, deliver solutions with flexible inputs both data and user for delivering scenario based plans.

  • Utilize analytical expertise and experience with large data sets to inform and influence business decisions with workforce and business data

  • Responsible for establishing and implementing data standards strategy and governance structure.

  • Develop and lead the analytics team in a broad range of ad-hoc projects and reporting specific to Customer Support needs
