Project Analyst – "Distribution Systems and Standards"
Reports to: Distribution Support Manager
Work Location: This is a hybrid job requiring you to report 3 days per week to 241 Ralph McGill Blvd, Atlanta, GA (GPC Corporate Headquarters). This work arrangement is subject to change in the future to require more days in the office. Your schedule may change to accommodate special projects, customer needs or other aspects of your job. Relocation assistance is available.
JOB SUMMARY:
Project Analyst is responsible for scheduling and facilitating Distribution Project Review Team (DPRT) meetings, tracking jobs in the review process, initiating the formal job approval process, assisting in budget tracking and projections, and serving as the statewide point of contact concerning job statuses. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and timely completion of distribution projects, supporting our commitment to delivering reliable energy to our customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Scheduling and facilitating all DPRT meetings
Taking minutes for DPRT meetings
Serve as point of contact for internal customers regarding jobs in best practice and/or DPRT process
Assist with creating, implementing, and maintaining of DPRT/BP dashboard
Initiate and process job approvals using SoFlow or similar program
Provide input, direction, and implementation for job tracking related to best practice reviews and DPRT presentation
Assist with budget tracking for DPRT, including working with DPRT Chair and Financial Analyst on budget projections
Perform special projects and work on SoCo Distribution initiatives as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement
Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field preferred
Associate’s Degree with 3 years of experience in project management, project coordination, related role, preferred.
High School Diploma accepted with 5 years experience in project management, coordination, or related role.
Experience Requirements
Knowledge of Distribution Bulletins, engineering best practices, job estimating requested
Understanding of customer needs, for both internal and external customers
Knowledge and understanding of DPRT and Best Practice process preferred
Knowledge and understanding of compliance procedures related to Distribution job approval thresholds is a plus
Knowledge and understanding of budgets preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communications skills; ability to interact with individuals at all levels inside the company
Must possess strong Project Management skills and be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to track, update and communicate project status to stakeholders to help ensure timely completion
Ability to identify and assign tasks and resources required to reach objectives
Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills

Work hours must be flexible to accommodate multiple projects, customer requests, and inclement weather
Must be available to work SERP operations when needed.
