Are you energized by teamwork, traveling to new places, and working on large scale projects? We are hiring a Project Manager-Controls for our Energy Efficiency Service team. Applicant must have direct experience with building automation systems & controls. This position will be based out of Georgia and will travel. Specifically, we are seeking a Project Manager who can manage the schedule, project costs, internal manpower, subcontractors, and onsite day to day activities associated with EES Mechanical & Electrical projects. We need someone who has experience managing controls (Building Automation Controls) projects from development to implementation of the solutions.
High School Diploma
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing commercial and / or industrial construction projects.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing Building Control Systems projects
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing Building Automation projects
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing Building Control System Integration Projects
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with Distech, JCI (Metasys & FX) or Honeywell (Niagara) or similar controls systems
Prior experience supervising teams preferred
Previous experience as a controls technician, electrician, pipe fitter or sheet metal installer
OSHA 30 Training a plus
Ability to travel
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manual, and written directions.
Ability to write reports and document day to day activities.
Ability to walk the site with team and subcontractors
Ability to receive deliveries onsite.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of general construction, HVAC and electrical installations.
Thorough knowledge of multiple building controls systems
Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint software programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Thorough knowledge and ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Deliver daily, weekly and monthly project schedules to customer
Create project budget and work within budgeted amounts associated with each task of the project
Review day to day tasks with onsite team and keep them on track with the project schedule
Perform daily walkthrough of site to ensure quality control of installed items
Provide weekly updates on progression of project to management.
Document any and all deviations from project schedule.
