JOB SUMMARY

The Project Development Coordinator in the Utility Scale / Project Development Team of GPC Renewable Development is responsible for one or both of the following roles, depending upon job assignment(s):

  • coordination and/or support of RFP activities for utility scale renewable resources (generally in excess of 3 MW) which may include structuring and administration of the RFP solicitation and associated Power Purchase Agreements, management of commercial contracts, and ensuring effective handoff at project COD to SCS Fleet Operations and Trading and associated support organizations

  • project management of self-build, pilot and/or demonstration projects from inception through handoff at commercial operations to GPC Operations to include management of scope, budget & schedule and stakeholder interests The Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and management of large, cross-functional teams, interaction with internal and external stakeholders, accounting and budgeting, and effective communications across all levels of internal and external organizations. The Coordinator is accountable to maintain project schedule and budget and to promote continuous improvement by providing feedback, lessons learned and through teamwork with peers. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES .

For Self-Build Project Management:

  1. Overall Project Management including:

  2. setting scope, budget and timeline

  3. coordinating and management of the project team(s)

  4. boots on the ground site visits to establish GPC presence and for work verification

  5. negotiation lead for and management of (as required) project agreements

  6. management of internal / external communications regarding project(s)

  7. management reporting

  8. invoice review and accrual as well as approval and coding

  9. coordinate contractual project close out requirements

  10. enforces GWO close out and work order unitization

  11. Capital and O&M Budget direction/support for assets from inception through COD

  12. Provision of regulatory filings & reporting (as needed)

  13. Ensures project compliance for accounting, reporting, procurement, and legal for procurement process and contracts

  14. Ensures successful project handoff to Fleet Operations and GPC Operations

  15. Ensures proper accounting treatment of employee time, expenses and project contracts

  16. Willingness to monitor and respond to critical after-hours calls and emails

For Utility Scale RFP Procurement:

  1. Overall Process Management of the RFP including:

  2. setting and maintaining solicitation timeline

  3. establishment and maintenance of standards of conduct and solicitation teams (evaluation & bid)

  4. development of solicitation documents (RFP & PPA)

  5. conducting bidder webinars & conferences

  6. communication management with Staff, Independent Evaluator (IE) & Bidders

  7. management reporting

  8. invoice review, approval, coding and management of security / collateral

  9. Coordination of process, selection, & contracting with regulatory affairs, Staff and IE

  10. Ensures project compliance for accounting, reporting, procurement, and legal of procurement process and contracts

  11. Ensuring successful project handoff to Asset Management and Contract Billing

  12. Support and continuous improvement of the RFP Handbook / Best Practices Guidebook

  13. Ensuring proper accounting treatment of employee time, expenses and contracts

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Economics preferred. Additional consideration for post-graduate degrees and/or industry certifications

Experience Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others, regardless of the reporting relationship

  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple organizations to achieve effective outcomes.

  • Experience and/or knowledge in coordinating, planning, and budgeting

  • Desired experience in the areas of:

  • project management

  • contracting (EPC, O&M and PPA)

  • renewable energy resource technologies, performance and project execution

  • utility scale battery technology and implementation is a plus

  • pricing & rates and state regulatory & legislative processes

  • Knowledgeable in the areas of state regulatory process, negotiation and management of contracts (RFP, EPC, O&M, PPA), generation planning and analysis, proForma financial analysis, and project management.
