Summary

The Software Engineer acts as an administrator/developer for PowerSecure’s enterprise software systems and plays an important role in technical software support and implementations. This person has responsibility for working with Application Services and IT staff to ensure enterprise applications operate in a manner that enables staff to meet organizational goals for increased user adoption and improved operational efficiency. This person must take a broad, cross-departmental view of the organization, understand organizational and departmental policies, processes, and procedures to leverage system capabilities and promote effective use of the enterprise applications to meet organization goals and needs.

Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field, Advanced backend experience of Oracle-based IFS, including building permission sets, lobbies, and reports (Quick reports, operational reports and SSRS) creating database tasks and customization using PL SQL. Minimum 6 years’ experience developing customization, reports, and integrations (Projections/BizAPis) in IFS ERPMinimum 4 years of application development experience using Microsoft technologies and demonstrated understanding of cloud architecture.Minimum 4 years of experience in integration platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft etc. creating integration flows and administration of iPaaS platform.Technical certifications related to IFS ERPTechnical certifications related to Boomi/MuleSoft/Cloud preferred but not necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Serve as contact/liaison for functional users, systems vendor(s), Application Services, and IT technical staff.• Provide application-level expertise, bridging the gap between the user and Application Services staff.• Work with Application Services staff in the technical support of multiple enterprise applications and Oracle databases.• Develop high quality and complex customizations for IFS ERP including but not limited to Reports, lobbies, custom events, database tasks etc.• Demonstrate strong understanding of software development lifecycle and adherence best practices in development and testing.• Ability to synthesize information in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.• Troubleshoot systems issues and debugs applications.• Develops technical documents to accurately represent application design and code.• Development and/or review of technical specifications and test plans• Advanced backend knowledge of oracle-based ERP (IFS) and ability to debug technical issues within the applications.• Advanced knowledge of Security and permissions within IFS applications• Maintains audit and SOD compliance rules within the IFS ERP system.• Develop and maintain integrations connecting multiple applications to IFS ERP and iPaaS tools such a Boomi, MuleSoft etc.• Develop custom applications using Microsoft technologies and support the same in a cloud environment. • Work with other business analysts, IT support functions as well as software vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.• Keep detailed, clearly written documentation of all issues pending and resolved.• Strong analytical skills and excellent computer skills required.• Strong organization, verbal & written communication skills, diplomacy and problem-solving skills are essential.• Working knowledge of SQL database architecture, terminology, processes, and an understanding of database-based application system concepts• Ability to work independently and use good judgment in decisions affecting application administration. • Possess a service-oriented attitude and anticipate customer needs.• Excellent written and oral communication skills

This includes on-call support activities and weekend/after hours as required. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.

Physical DemandsOccasional travel may be required during key periods to support job duties across business unit locations.
