Plant Hatch has an opportunity for a Nuclear Plant Instructor - Mechanical in the Maintenance and Technical Training organization.

SUMMARY

A Nuclear Plant Instructor, SR in the Maintenance and Technical Training organization is responsible for presenting and administering the Mechanical maintenance training program. The Nuclear Plant Instructor will design, conduct and evaluate classroom and simulator instruction; develop training and examination materials; and process and maintain training records for the Mechanical maintenance training program. These activities are instrumental in maintaining the plant's INPO accreditation.

Nuclear Job Responsibilities – Mechanical Instructor

Job Responsibilities including:

Analysis

  • Conducting needs, job, and task analysis of site training programs

  • Conducting gap analysis

Design

  • Designing training objectives

  • Designing shop training

  • Equipping training shop for conduct of skills training

  • Assisting in developing the overall training plan

  • Scheduling classes

Development

  • Developing lesson materials to be used in the training programs

  • Maintaining plant training materials

  • Maintaining plant training records

Implementation of

  • Conducting classroom training

  • Conducting shop training

  • Conducting flow loop (lab) training

  • Conducting gap training

Evaluation

  • Assisting in determining training program effectiveness

  • Conducting assessments, research, and evaluations

  • Reviewing training materials

  • Corrective Action program activities, deadline management

  • Evaluation of partner programs at Area Technical Colleges

General

  • Supporting the line organization as requested during temporary outage assignments

  • Managing Initial Training program to include; and time keeping

  • Manage project work load

Job Experience and Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • A total of four (4) years of power plant experience, of which a minimum of one (1) year is nuclear power plant experience, in hands-on, industrial or technical environment. A maximum of two (2) years of the remaining three (3) years of plant experience may be fulfilled by academic or related technical training on a one-for-one basis.
