WORK LOCATION
This position will be based out of Birmingham, AL, however candidates living outside of the area may be considered with the expectation that they could successfully telework and would be willing to travel to work and/or field location on a routine (to be determined) and as-needed basis.
Flexible work environment with hybrid (both in-office and telecommute) work options available.
JOB SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for the transactional support of Category Management within Supply Chain Management (SCM.) This individual will be responsible for providing research and analytical support on behalf of the category management related to invoice reconciliation, pricing changes, as well as lead time updates. This position will also be responsible for Power Delivery transactional storm support.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Accounting preferred
Experience
Supply Chain Management knowledge/experience would be a plus
Strong analytic skills with demonstrated ability to plan strategically and make recommendations to drive results
Experience working on teams in a project-based work environment strongly preferred
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of supply chain business processes
In-depth knowledge of Excel required
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent presentation skills for all levels of management
Ability to work independently, as well as under direct supervision or in a team environment
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide system-wide management support for supply chain financial data, focusing on invoice reconciliations and resolution support for Power Delivery Category Management
Provide direct support to Category Management team providing transactional support in updating and maintaining purchase contract pricing and lead times, as appropriate.
Understand structure of supply chain and category management processes, analyze financial data to produce information, develop metrics and reports for stakeholder decision-making.
Work with suppliers and Category Managers to maintain and update reports, as necessary.
