Description

This role is primarily responsible for enabling personalized customer experiences across all digital channels for Southern Company and supporting its operating companies, Alabama Power, Georgia Power and Mississippi Power. Leveraging tools such as Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, Webtrends, a new eBusiness Dashboard (Power BI) and marketing automation technology to ensure the most relevant correspondence is taking place, measuring its effectiveness, and communicating reports for optimization.

This candidate must also be comfortable partnering and collaborating with various internal stakeholders in the following business functions: Marketing, Corporate Communications, Customer Service, IT and Business Intelligence. Developing relationships with external partners such as Webtrends, Adobe, Tealium, etc., and other agencies to assist with supporting digital analytics efforts will also be critical to success in this role. A successful candidate should be able to support the entire lifecycle of all web tools so that our customers can derive core insights from the data to suggest, create and execute multivariate or a/b/c tests that drive fundamental improvements to site experiences.

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Craft and/or support user journeys across all digital touchpoints to facilitate sales and customer communication needs

  • Support engagements using data-driven insights in order to provide personalized offers and experiences

  • Maximize tools for ultimate messaging deployment (support, manage and run a series of different experiences on Adobe Target regularly)

  • Support the creation of audiences in Adobe Target to meet the business goals of Southern Company OPCOs

  • Maintain the company’s new eBusiness Dashboard and Online Customer Care (OCC) Adobe Analytics implementation

  • Work with OCC Stakeholders to create new in-journey target opportunities

  • Analyze and troubleshoot discrepancies between Adobe data and weblogdata

  • Manage relationship with Search Discovery (Adobe Analytics implementation vendor)

  • Manage Adobe Target projects as requested and train others how to use Adobe Target.

  • Create, coordinating and implement tags, tracking parameter implementations and leverage enterprise tag management system to deploy data collection JavaScript, pixels, and tags

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot web analytics platform configuration issues. Understand all aspects of web analytic tool implementation (tags, sCode, plug-ins, server call types, cookies, variables, Link Tracking, JavaScript, HTML & packet sniffing)

  • Other duties as assigned to support the companies’ digital analytics needs

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and proven experience

Experience

  • High level of experience with Adobe tech stack (analytics, target, and AEM)

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in digital marketing and performance optimization practices; configuring and working with standard analysis tools and tag management tools like Tealium, Webtrends, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.

  • 2-3 years performing analysis supporting Web Analytics tools such as Webtrends, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Coremetrics or Power BI and experience in advanced web analytics

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel

  • Understanding of marketing, customer service and corporate communications customers business needs and tools

  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment developing strong working relationships across all operating companies and support organizations

  • High attention to detail and organized

  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

  • Effective and persuasive presentations (verbal and written) for project teams and business leaders

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
