Energy Efficiency Education Representative

JOB SUMMARY
The Energy Efficiency Education Representative will play a key role in promoting energy efficiency programs and initiatives to 4th and 5th grade students. This position involves developing and delivering engaging educational content, conducting outreach activities, and supporting the implementation of energy efficiency education projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to helping young students understand the importance of energy conservation.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and deliver age-appropriate educational presentations, workshops, and interactive activities on energy efficiency topics to 4th and 5th grade students.
Responsible for the outreach to schools, school districts, administrators, PTA groups, and internal stakeholders to describe the benefits of energy conservation and the School Kits and Energy Education program
Provide one-on-one consultations with teachers and school administrators to assess educational needs and recommend energy-saving practices.
Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to support the implementation of energy efficiency projects in schools.
Assist in the development of educational materials, including brochures, guides, and online resources tailored for young students.
Follow up with schools to communicate program results and solicit program feedback
Track and report on the effectiveness of outreach and educational activities.
Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to energy efficiency education for young students.
Represent the Company as available in additional community outreach events to promote energy efficiency
Gain familiarity with all mandated programs to be versed in those programs to drive customer participation
Support the Energy Efficiency Program Manager in achieving program goals and objectives.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, Energy Management, Education, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in energy efficiency, sustainability, and/or a related field.
Experience in K-12 education or youth programs.
Strong presentation and public speaking skills, especially with young audiences.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to engage and educate diverse audiences, particularly 4th and 5th grade students.
Knowledge of energy efficiency practices, technologies, and programs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license.

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and visual/graphical) and can effectively present to internal peers, leadership, and external partners.
Ability to be strategic and creative to improve processes and a proven track record of demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving around complex issues.
Expert in Microsoft 365 Suite of applications including Outlook, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
