Administrator, Corrosion Control


The Corrosion Control Administrator coordinates troubleshooting, permits, remediation and compliance workload for the Nicor Gas Corrosion Control Department.

Functional Expertise:

  • Schedules Corrosion Technicians in Click Schedule to ensure compliance requirements are met

  • Prepares work order packages for contractor completion

  • Reviews data to coordinate remedial action required on readings not meeting criteria

  • Schedules customer appointments

  • Applies for permits needed to perform corrosion control work

Business Acumen:

  • Monitors status of troubleshooting status, pending work, and as-builts

  • Reviews and monitors data quality and accuracy

  • Monitors and reports on completion of remediation work

  • Recommends and assists with implementation of process improvements


  • Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders

  • Actively participate in work planning meetings

  • Collaborate with all levels of management to achieve shared results

  • Support regulatory and internal audits

Driving Results:

  • Supports timely completion of corrosion control work by required compliance dates

  • Responsible for scheduling follow-up readings on completed work orders

  • Monitors and manages corrosion control activities for contractors

  • Monitor field resource activity and make appropriate adjustments to subsequent work plans to meet company objectives

Education, Certifications/Licenses:


  • High School Diploma


  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree

Related Work Experience:


  • With High School Diploma; 5 years of scheduling and/or coordination of work activities, or With Associates or Bachelors Degree 2 years of scheduling and/or coordination of work Activities, or Equivalent combination of education or experience

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
