Southern Company HVAC Pipe Fitter Installer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania


PowerSecure is looking for our next team of HVAC Pipefitter Installers.

THIS IS A TRAVELING POSITION! Our next project is located in the eastern U.S.

In addition to traveling, you may be required to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift, depending on the requirements of the project. We are looking for pipefitter installers with the ability to install HVAC piping and equipment while maintaining a safe work environment. OSHA 10 training is a big plus! Must be a role model for safe work practices and maintaining a safe work environment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 5 years pipefitter experience in the construction industry

  • Completion of an Apprenticeship program is a plus but not required

  • Experience with sweat, screw, grooved and press-fit connecting processes preferred

  • Hands-on experience with demolition and installation of various types of commercial HVAC equipment recommended

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, construction drawings, project specifications and equipment submittals

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure , using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. frequently

  • Experience with Sheet metal duct installation a plus
