Southern Company Class A CDL Driver in Randleman, North Carolina


PowerSecure is hiring a Class A CDL Driver. This job is onsite at our Randleman, NC facility. This individual will be responsible for delivering, picking up products, shipping/receiving, and other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Class A CDL with minimum of 5 years driving experience

  • 1 year OTR experience or 100,000 verifiable miles

  • Be able to pass DOT Physical and drug screen given at orientation

  • Demonstrate and champion a Safety culture

  • No DUI's or DWI's in the past 3 years

  • Clean driving record required

  • Good time keeping skills

  • Be able to provide good references upon request

  • Strong professional driver with good interpersonal skills who does not mind interacting with PM’s and in some cases the customer

  • Warehouse, Rigging, Shipping, and Receiving experience is a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must have basic computer skills

  • Strong knowledge of DOT and Hazmat regulations

  • When not driving this individual will be required to perform shipping and receiving functions; so warehouse experience is strongly desired

Essential Functions:

  • The driver will make deliveries within a 2 to 4 hour radius from our base of operation

  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks; retrieving items in a safe manner

  • Ensure all cargo once loaded is properly secured prior to leaving dock or loading area

  • Comply with all procedures, company policies, and state/federal transportation regulations

  • Work under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods

  • All other duties as assigned
