Radiation Protection Supervisor (Plant Vogtle 3&4)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Radiation Protection Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and supervises a team of Radiation Protection Technicians responsible for health physics related activities that support the conduct of operations and maintenance activities within radiation controlled areas of the facility. The person in this position will be responsible for providing oversight of the work management processes and the planning and preparation to support radiological work activities. The supervisor implements procedures to meet site and regulatory requirements. The supervisor also supports the emergency response organization by filling a designated position within the on-call rotation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum:
Associates Degree in one of the physical sciences or engineering required
5 years commercial nuclear power experience with at least three years cumulative commercial nuclear industry experience in applied radiation protection required
Knowledge of plant procedures and regulations
Knowledge of plant systems and processes
Knowledge of the work management process
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain priorities
Effective at building and sustaining working relationships across disciplines

Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position/access requirements and essential job functions.
Live (or relocate to) within 75 minutes of the SNC Emergency Operations Facility for emergency response availability
Preferred:
Associates degree specific to Radiation Protection or Bachelor's degree in related area; e.g., physical science, scientific field or engineering
Previous Supervisory Experience at a PWR
NRRPT Certification
Radiation Protection Manager qualified as per ANSI 3.1 - 1993
